The Daily Express reports that the one-time Jam man told Q magazine: “I was watching a couple of female artists recently and their whole albums were about splitting up with their boyfriends.

“For [expletive] sake, get over it. See what’s going on in the world. Write about God, write about love, write about death, write about war, write about people.”

Not that they do not set myself high standards for song material. Magazine that she's still kind of audience will take their concerns about the albums: “It’s one thing being challenging but if people are just going to skip it what’s the point?”

Paul Weller is set to debut for Liam Gallagher clothing range

Rock icon Paul Weller is set to debut for Liam Gallagher clothing range for his fashion line.

Weller has designed six items, scarves and leather jackets from Beady Eye frontman's Pretty Green collection to join.

Weller tells Nme.com, "I've wanted to design my own range for some time and Pretty Green felt like a good home for my clothes. My main design reference is somewhere between 1968 and 1970. The clothes themselves sit between being smart and casual with quality materials and tailoring."

Paul Weller revealed his next studio album has been completed

Paul Weller revealed that he work on his next studio album has been completed.

The singer and former Jam star said he had just finished his recording of mixing the follow-up to 2010's 'Wak Up The Nation'.

He told XFM that was "ready to go all" and that the album "Hope" will come before the end of 2011.

Weller was performs at the Japan Disaster Benefit in London on Sunday (April 2). The evening also saw performances from Beady Eye and Richard Ashcroft.
